g1.globo.com (Portuguese) —

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Thursday that the US must decide whether to end the war, stating Tehran does not want the conflict to continue and is willing to negotiate a deal. Speaking to Fox News, Pezeshkian said dialogue should replace killing, blaming Israel for instigating the war. He also questioned why a ceasefire agreement was broken just two weeks after signing, and offered to negotiate within international legal frameworks. Iran proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if conditions are met, including a seven-day halt to hostilities, unfreezing $12 billion in assets, lifting oil sanctions, and ending the US naval blockade.
