Iran’s President Says US Must Decide Whether War Ends

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the United States must decide whether to end the war, stating Iran was attacked and only defended itself. He expressed readiness to reach an agreement with President Donald Trump. Pezeshkian blamed Israeli provocations for imposing the conflict, questioning why a fragile truce collapsed two weeks before a planned signing. He said dialogue should replace killing, but America must choose whether to continue the war. Regarding Yemen, Pezeshkian denied that Houthi militants receive orders from Tehran, calling them a regional resistance force acting independently. He acknowledged contacts with them but said no systematic relationship exists, despite US and Saudi accusations of Iranian support.
