Iran's president says US must decide on ending conflict with Iran

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the United States must decide whether to end the conflict with Iran, stating Tehran does not seek war but is determined to defend itself. He made the remarks in a Fox News interview in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Pezeshkian noted a June principle agreement with Washington and expressed readiness to move forward, while dismissing the impact of US midterm elections. He also confirmed recent talks between Iranian and American officials in New York, following US and Israeli attacks on Iran in February and Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The president denied seeking nuclear weapons despite enriched uranium stockpiles, and said Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is in good health after a meeting about a month ago.
