iPhone 18 Pro camera features hidden in iOS 27 beta
Code analysis of iOS 27 beta suggests at least five unreleased camera features are hidden within, potentially for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro. These features were not announced at WWDC26 and may debut with new hardware or future updates. The findings were reported by MacRumors on September 7. The hidden features include a histogram and waveform display for exposure, focus peaking and overexposure warnings, a continuous self-timer mode, and a manual focus option restricted to future iPhone models. A fifth feature involves image correction based on aperture settings, hinting at a variable aperture main camera rumored for the iPhone 18 Pro. These features are not yet functional in the current beta, and Apple may withhold some or all of them from the September release. The aperture-related processing suggests at least some features could launch alongside the new model.
