Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 get AI day summaries with privacy safeguards

Apple is reportedly preparing a new AI feature called Recaps for its upcoming Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 models, which would summarize a user's day, including conversations, without storing audio recordings. The feature, expected to be integrated into the new Siri app, would analyze data from the watch's microphone, GPS, and sensors to generate summaries on demand or at specific locations. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman suggests it may require new hardware with an upgraded chip, though compatibility with older models remains unclear.
