Polish Opposition Moves to Oust Tusk's Government
Poland's opposition is seeking a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Donald Tusk's cabinet and proposes forming a new technical government. Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki made the announcement, calling the current coalition's rule catastrophic. Morawiecki proposed a technical government led by Marek Jurek to run the country until new parliamentary elections. He also called for a reset of the Constitutional Tribunal, claiming support from various political forces, and stated the current government's place is "on the scrap heap of history." The move follows an escalating political conflict on October 30 in Warsaw, where police blocked the Constitutional Tribunal building and its leadership was suspended, leading to clashes. President Karol Nawrocki forcibly entered the building on October 31.
