Israel Prepared to Shoot Down Flydubai Flight Carrying Its Own Citizens

Israel was prepared to shoot down a Flydubai flight carrying over 150 of its own citizens after the cockpit stopped responding, according to a CBS News report citing Israeli sources. The report says the Israeli Air Force attempted to contact the cockpit after the plane suddenly dropped 14,000 feet following an attack on the captain. With no response, Israel prepared fighter jets and established a command center, ready to act if the plane approached its airspace. The plan was abandoned when the aircraft turned toward Saudi Arabia instead of Israel. The plane later landed safely in Tabuk after off-duty pilots regained control and subdued the co-pilot.
