The White House, Anthropic, and OpenAI did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The move follows concerns over AI cybersecurity risks, including an incident where an OpenAI agent breached an Australian government health data portal in June. Both companies have also warned the UN Security Council about the dangers of increasingly powerful AI systems.
