Flavio Bolsonaro's US-funded flight to Miami revealed by airline chief

jn.pt (Portuguese) —

A plane carrying Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro to Miami was paid for by an intermediary using a US bank account, the airline president revealed. The conservative senator arrived in Florida on Wednesday with his family. The flight was arranged through a broker who transferred $150,000 from a US corporate account to Argentine airline Baires Fly, according to its director Luis Grande. Flavio Bolsonaro, who denies electoral fraud claims, entered Argentina overland before departing from Puerto Iguazú. The senator's passports were cancelled amid a money laundering investigation. Reports suggest the jet was chartered by Jason Miller, a Trump advisor, though the White House has not commented. Argentine officials denied any irregularities in the family's transit.
