Flávio Bolsonaro calls Lula's Brazil election win 'mathematically impossible'
Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro again questioned the election's legitimacy, calling the results "mathematically impossible" and accusing Lula da Silva of winning with a "hand goal." Without presenting evidence of alleged fraud in the October 25 runoff, Bolsonaro urged Congress to become a "trench" to resist and delay what he called the "great chaos" President Lula will create. He claimed Lula will be removed from office "sooner than many imagine" due to "radical" economic measures. Bolsonaro fled to the United States with his family after being ordered to surrender his passports, following a visit to his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, under house arrest for an attempted coup. Lula won re-election with 52% of the vote, a margin of over four million votes.
