Flavio Bolsonaro flees Brazil, cites persecution after Lula win
Brazilian right-wing politician Flavio Bolsonaro, 45, son of jailed former President Jair Bolsonaro, fled Brazil secretly after losing the presidential runoff to leftist President Lula da Silva, citing alleged "persecution" in an Instagram livestream. Flavio escaped on foot with his wife and two daughters across the border to Argentina, then traveled via Ecuador to Miami, USA. He said he visited his father, under house arrest for an alleged coup attempt, before police informed him his passport would be seized in a money laundering and corruption investigation. Flavio has not conceded defeat to Lula, claiming election fraud without evidence, and warns Brazil's economy will "go bankrupt" under Lula's new term. He stated he is ready to run for president again, saying "I'm not talking about 2030. I'm talking about sooner than that."
