Danish intelligence warns of rising Russian attack risk on NATO states

Denmark's intelligence service sees a growing risk of a Russian attack on a NATO state, though an invasion is deemed "highly unlikely" in the coming months. The head of the FE, Thomas Ahrenkiel, presented the updated assessment on Thursday. Ahrenkiel stated there is a "small but growing risk" of a limited military attack on NATO countries bordering Russia. Such a move would be a "desperate step" to divert European military resources, potentially occurring alongside increased hybrid attacks. He added that any Russian military preparations would require several months and be difficult to conceal, though the possibility of an invasion cannot be entirely ruled out.
