CIA warns Europe of possible Russian Gerbera drone strikes on Spain, France, or Italy

The CIA has warned European allies of a possible Russian drone attack targeting Spain, France, or Italy, with launches potentially originating from Russian "ghost fleet" ships in the Mediterranean Sea. European foreign ministries have reportedly received a detailed report on the matter. The warning follows CIA Director's visit to Moscow, as reported by El Mundo. Lithuanian defense sources identified the Gerbera drone as the potential weapon, a device measuring about two meters long with a 2.5-meter wingspan and weighing up to 18 kilograms, capable of reaching speeds of 160 kilometers per hour with a maximum range of 600 kilometers. The alert comes as Moscow claims Western military support for Ukraine makes those countries legitimate targets. Portugal is not mentioned on the list of potential targets. Russia has previously sought to operate below the "war threshold" to avoid triggering a coordinated NATO response while conducting increasing sabotage campaigns against Ukraine's supporters.
