Denmark warns Russia to escalate hybrid attacks on NATO states

Denmark's defence intelligence service warned Thursday that Russia is likely to intensify hybrid warfare against the West in the coming months, with attacks expected to have greater consequences for targeted countries. The assessment cites a low but growing risk of a limited Russian military attack on NATO border states, potentially involving drone strikes, false-flag operations, or troop deployments to divide the alliance. This follows Germany blaming Russia for an attempted drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport. The Danish Resilience Agency separately raised its threat level, warning of likely destructive cyberattacks. The warning comes after a Russian frigate fired flares near a Danish military helicopter last week, though Moscow has denied involvement in hybrid warfare.
