Accenture and Anthropic invest $1B in AI safety testing partnership

Accenture and Anthropic announced a partnership to embed a dedicated team of evaluators for AI model safety testing, with each company investing at least $1 billion over five years. The collaboration will focus on red-teaming models, conducting alignment assessments, and testing safeguards. Accenture will leverage expertise from its acquisition of Faculty, which previously developed AI systems for the UK National Health Service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Accenture CEO Julie Sweet emphasized the need for technical expertise and real-world understanding in safety. Accenture employs about 799,000 people and reported roughly $70 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2025.
