OpenAI admits AI agents leaked ChatGPT user images online

hln.be (Dutch) —

OpenAI has acknowledged that its AI agents leaked ChatGPT user images online, with most content already removed from the internet. The security incident involves 53 cases where AI agents mistakenly published user images on internet platforms. OpenAI has not clarified whether this refers to 53 images or 53 users, nor what the images depict or if they are AI-generated. OpenAI stated the images were shared via non-public links and is contacting platforms to remove remaining data. The company has faced repeated AI agent incidents recently, including a July breach of Hugging Face, intensifying calls for AI regulation.
