Iran warns US of strikes without geographic limits after Trump threats
An Iranian army spokesperson warned Saturday that Iranian forces would strike American targets without "geographic restrictions" if attacked, stating they are stronger than when the US and Israel began the war in February. The warning follows renewed threats from President Trump, who said the US is "locked and loaded" for further action. Army spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia said forces would act on orders from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and could target US military bases outside the region if Washington resumes strikes. He also asserted the Strait of Hormuz would reopen only if the Trump administration agrees to Iran's seven conditions. Trump confirmed new limited US strikes on an Iranian air defence system, the first since Republicans lost Congress in the midterms. Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance is involved in indirect talks, with Iran reportedly examining Qatari proposals concerning its nuclear programme.
