US and Iran edge closer to deal as Tehran reviews nuclear proposals

Iran is studying Qatari-mediated proposals on its nuclear programme, raising hopes for progress toward ending the war with the US, a diplomat said. The proposals, presented by Qatar as mediator, are under active review by Tehran, according to the diplomat familiar with the talks. This development signals a potential breakthrough in negotiations between the two nations. The conflict between the US and Iran has been ongoing, with nuclear issues a central sticking point. Any agreement would mark a significant shift in their relations.
