Iran rejects Trump's UN threats as domestic propaganda tool

Iran's armed forces responded to President Donald Trump's threats at the UN General Assembly, dismissing his remarks as a tool for domestic propaganda. The joint statement from the General Staff and Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters said the accusations lack factual basis. The statement claimed Trump's repeated threats demonstrate America's strategic predicament and desperation, not strength, citing US military exhaustion. It asserted Iran remains a pillar of regional security while portraying the US as a source of instability in West Asia. The statement said Trump's speech changes nothing in power calculations and won't compensate for America's declining global standing. It noted Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will address the UN General Assembly to convey Iran's message.
