pcmag.com —

Tesla unveiled its second-generation Roadster, demonstrating capabilities including flying short distances, driving upside down, and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in one second. The livestream showed the vehicle driving upside down using a suction system generating over 4,700kg of downforce, and performing a mid-air flip with cold-gas thrusters. A separate demo featured the car flying over five vehicles, including a Tesla Semi. Tesla will sell the flying version, called Roadster Rocket, through an invite-only system, though it won't be approved for public roads. A two-seat Thrust model is reservable for $5,000, with production slated to begin in 2028.
