Tesla Roadster uses rocket thrusters to fly and stick to walls

Tesla unveiled the next-generation Roadster on Thursday, demonstrating the electric sports car hovering and performing aerial maneuvers using compressed air thrusters. The feature will be offered to customers in the production vehicle, which is the most powerful model ever created by Elon Musk's company, reaching 370 km/h. The Roadster uses a compressed gas propulsion system with nozzles and valves activated by components derived from Tesla's Optimus robot. The central mechanism includes a high-pressure tank holding 200 liters at up to 10,000 PSI, with the Rocket variant adding a 400-liter reservoir. Engineers claim the Rocket version's thrust is comparable to a fighter jet, and the system operates without combustion, though it is restricted to non-public roads due to safety concerns. The vehicle can also stick to walls using a fan that creates suction, pulling up to 2 Gs. Production begins in 2028, with three versions available: Performance, limited Thrust, and invite-only Rocket. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under one second and has a range of 482.8 km.
