iPhone Duo ships, faces Galaxy Z Fold8 and Razr Fold competition
Apple's first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, began shipping Friday, with limited in-store inventory and long online wait times as Apple ramps up production. The device starts at $2,000 for 256GB and reaches $3,200 for 2TB. The iPhone Duo faces stiff competition, notably the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, which is $300 cheaper, thinner, and lighter, though both lack dedicated telephoto cameras. The larger Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra offers a telephoto lens and 200MP main sensor, while the Motorola Razr Fold boasts a bigger battery and faster charging. Last year's Galaxy Z Fold7 is discounted to $1,300 at Walmart, and the Galaxy Z Flip8 remains at $1,050. Apple also launched new tablets, Macs, and an Apple TV 4K, with some prices affected by recent hikes.
