Federal judge restores White House press access for CNN, MSNBC, Politico

CNN, MSNBC and Politico were readmitted to the White House on Thursday after a federal judge ruled their credential revocations likely violated constitutional due process rights. The outlets had been banned by President Donald Trump for six days. Judge Timothy Kelly ordered access restored, stating individuals must receive notice and a hearing before being deprived of protected interests. Despite regaining access, CNN and MSNBC reporters were blocked from covering Chinese President Xi Jinping's arrival for a state dinner. The White House had accused the outlets of publishing false information and sensitive details, including stories about the US-Iran war and a planned bunker beneath the East Wing. Other major networks refused to participate in the video pool in solidarity with CNN.
