Federal judge orders Trump to restore White House access for CNN, MSNBC, and Politico

Judge Timothy Kelly determined that the journalists were not given adequate notice or an opportunity to defend themselves before their badges were confiscated, noting they were only informed of appeal options days later. The White House had excluded the outlets on Friday, with Trump accusing them of spreading "fake news" on his social media platform. The Justice Department cited national security concerns, but media lawyers argued this justification emerged only after the ban and their lawsuit. Kelly previously ruled similarly in 2018 when CNN's Jim Acosta lost his credentials.
