He claimed Germans have grown tired of immigration rules he called "absolutely horrible." In a Truth Social post, Trump called it a "really big night" for the "Populist Party," without using AfD's official name. He said the party is "on the rise" and will no longer tolerate current migration policies, adapting his own campaign slogan for the occasion. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk responded that only "idiots and traitors" in Poland would celebrate the AfD win, referring to opposition parties Konfederacja and PiS. Trump's comments came after Sunday's election results in the German state.
