Iran Threatens Gulf Infrastructure Strikes if US-Israel Renew Attacks
Iran has threatened to strike oil installations, undersea cables, datacentres, and artificial intelligence facilities across the Gulf if the US and Israel launch fresh attacks, warning its response would extend beyond conventional military targets. Iranian officials, including Mohsen Rezaei and adviser Mehdi Mohammadi, said Tehran would adopt a "zero red lines" strategy in any renewed conflict, which they frame as an existential threat. The IRGC also claimed to have struck commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, with Brent crude trading at $113.40 a barrel. Diplomatic efforts continue, including proposals to release frozen Iranian assets in exchange for lifting the Strait of Hormuz blockade and nuclear negotiations. European and regional foreign ministers were expected to meet in Istanbul to discuss the linked crises.
