DAX gains 0.61% in Frankfurt afternoon trading

The DAX rose 0.61 percent to 26,425.28 points in XETRA trading at 3:41 p.m. on Wednesday, giving the index a total market value of 2.173 trillion euros. The index opened with a slight loss of 0.041 percent at 26,255.41 points, following Tuesday's close of 26,266.14 points. Wednesday's trading range saw a low of 26,196.92 and a high of 26,429.02 points. Deutsche Bank led gainers with a 4.89 percent rise, while SAP fell 2.35 percent. The DAX has gained 7.69 percent since the start of 2026, with its yearly high at 26,573.50 points and low at 21,863.81 points. Volkswagen preferred shares offer the lowest price-to-earnings ratio of 4.13 and the highest projected dividend yield of 7.39 percent.
