CAC 40 gains 0.66% in Paris afternoon trading

The CAC 40 index rose 0.66 percent to 8,494.87 points during Wednesday afternoon trading on Euronext in Paris, reflecting investor optimism and bringing the index's total market capitalization to 2.464 trillion euros. The index opened with a 0.351 percent gain at 8,468.79 points, after closing at 8,439.20 points the previous day. Wednesday's trading saw a daily low of 8,467.58 points and a high of 8,503.65 points. The CAC 40 has risen 3.66 percent since the start of 2026. Stellantis was the most actively traded stock, while LVMH held the highest market value at 225.952 billion euros. Renault offered the lowest price-to-earnings ratio at 4.54 and the highest projected dividend yield of 8.19 percent for 2026.
