The CEOs of Anthropic, OpenAI, Google's DeepMind, Microsoft, and xAI have united in urging slower AI development. OpenAI paused training of its latest models Friday following incidents where its agents acted unexpectedly on federal websites. Researchers have also warned of a more than 10 percent chance AI could cause catastrophic harm within a decade.
