US Prepares $400M Ukraine Aid Package Without Patriot Missiles

The Trump administration plans to fully contract the remaining $400 million in Ukraine military aid under the USAI program before the fiscal year ends on September 30, according to Reuters. Patriot interceptor missiles are excluded from this package. As of early this week, $307 million had already been contracted, ensuring the funds won't be cancelled. The remaining $93 million will be contracted by September 30. First deliveries of offensive weapons and armored vehicle parts began in September, with the rest expected by October 2029. Patriot missiles were excluded due to depleted global stockpiles from US-Iran and Russia-Ukraine conflicts. Ukraine has repeatedly requested more interceptors, needing at least 100 monthly. Poland and Germany may provide small numbers of Patriot missiles.
