Trump grants Ukraine license to build Patriot missiles

Zelenskyy stated Trump confirmed a final decision to provide licenses for manufacturing the missiles, which are considered the only effective defense against Russia's increasing ballistic missile attacks. Trump had previously signaled approval in July but later expressed caution about allowing the technology transfer. Establishing production capacity in Ukraine would take over a year, so the licenses won't address immediate needs. Meanwhile, a Russian drone attack on Kyiv killed a 14-year-old boy and injured seven others, while Ukraine continued drone strikes on Russian oil and industrial facilities.
