Typhoon No. 27, classified as large and very strong, is moving northeast near the Ogasawara Islands, with maximum instantaneous wind speeds reaching 60 meters per second, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. The typhoon is expected to approach the Ogasawara Islands with very strong force between the evening of October 5 and early October 6. It is moving northeast at approximately 15 kilometers per hour and is expected to continue northward east of Japan through around October 7.
