Trump backs US diesel export ban to ease gas prices

Donald Trump said Tuesday he supports banning US diesel exports, suggesting it could slightly lower gasoline prices amid a fuel price surge linked to the Middle East conflict. He made the remarks to reporters in New York during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump stated, "I have also advocated for this. I said: 'Let's not sell our diesel abroad.' We produce a lot of diesel. It could have a slight impact on the price of regular gasoline." His comments come as fuel costs have spiked due to the war in the Middle East.
