Nvidia Q2 profit jumps 126% to $59.7B on AI chip demand

Nvidia reported a net profit of $59.688 billion for the second quarter of its fiscal 2027, a 126% increase year-over-year, with quarterly revenue of $96.221 billion, up 106%. Revenue from data centers exceeded $89 billion, split into new categories: Hyperscale earned $48.710 billion and AI Cloud $40.313 billion, both more than doubling. CEO Jensen Huang stated AI has reached a tipping point, with demand accelerating and the Vera Rubin platform in full production. For the first half, net profit reached $118.010 billion, up 161%, and revenue hit $177.837 billion. Nvidia forecasts $108 billion in revenue, expects no China data center income, and has commitments of $279 billion for key components. Shares fell 0.4% in after-hours trading.
