Flavio Bolsonaro’s Escape to US Used Secret Agent Help and Van, Investigation Shows
Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro fled to the United States after the Supreme Court ordered him to surrender his passports, according to an investigation by the TV program Fantastico aired on Sunday. The escape involved a complex logistical operation. The escape route had two parts. Flavio left Brasilia on October 27 on a private jet, landing in San Fernando, Argentina, then flying to Puerto Iguazu. His wife and two daughters traveled separately to Cascavel, then crossed the border from Foz do Iguacu by van. Argentine immigration records show three entries by Flavio in the same van, using an Italian passport, a driver's license, and a Brazilian passport. A former Israeli intelligence officer, Menachem Booky Halevy, is under investigation for allegedly assisting the escape.
