Brazilian police probe if Senator Bolsonaro fled to Argentina on lawyer's jet
Brazilian federal police are investigating whether Senator Flávio Bolsonaro left Brazil on October 27 aboard a jet linked to his friend and lawyer Willer Tomaz, who is under investigation for suspected money laundering tied to betting businesses. Both are barred from communicating by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes. According to TV Globo's "Fantástico," the senator allegedly flew from Brasília to San Fernando, Argentina, at 5:05 a.m. on October 27 in a Cessna Citation Excel owned by a company associated with Tomaz's family. The senator is not a fugitive, as no arrest warrant exists against him. Bolsonaro's lawyer Frederick Wassef denied the reports, stating the senator did not flee, has no criminal record, and faces no charges. Tomaz's office also called the claims false. The senator later traveled with his family to Miami via a Gulfstream jet, with his wife and daughters reportedly crossing the border by land.
