Meta AI Mac App Adds Mac Dictation and Window Sharing

Meta launched a beta Mac app for its Meta AI assistant, featuring system-wide dictation and window sharing, alongside new business tools for Facebook, Instagram, Google Workspace, and ad campaigns. The app lets users share any open window to receive tailored advice, with an Option-Space shortcut for a compact composer and a dictation feature that inserts spoken words into Mail, documents, or code editors. Users can connect Meta AI to their accounts for analytics on reach, saves, shares, comments, and profile visits, plus ad performance reviews and budget recommendations. Businesses can link Google Workspace to create decks, docs, and spreadsheets from connected data. The free-to-start service offers extra usage via Meta One subscriptions, runs natively on Apple silicon Macs with macOS 15 or later, and follows Google's similar Gemini Mac app release earlier this year.
