Joint Arab List accuses Shin Bet chief of serving Netanyahu
The Joint Arab List has accused Shin Bet chief David Zeni of serving Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after he requested investigations into Arab leaders over alleged election interference. The list called the move part of a Likud-led incitement campaign against Arab society. The list said Netanyahu seeks to question the legitimacy of Arab voters who participated heavily and voted against his government. Joint Arab List leader Mansour Abbas declared readiness to appear before law enforcement as directed by legal authorities, rejecting attempts to defame the Arab community. The accusations follow an i24NEWS report that Zeni sought to investigate Abbas, Ahmad Tibi, and Sami Abu Shahadeh. Arab lists won 19 seats in the October 27 election, placing Arab representation at the center of coalition negotiations.
