Israeli Security Services Probe MK Ayman Odeh Over Suspected Foreign Cash
Israeli security services are investigating MK Ayman Odeh on suspicion he received hundreds of thousands of shekels in cash from a foreign source, with the Shin Bet seeking to question him. Odeh dismissed the inquiry as political persecution. The Shin Bet chief requested authorization to investigate Odeh, as well as three other Arab party leaders, but only provided a written assessment for Odeh. A joint investigative team has been agreed upon, though the probe has not yet begun. Odeh rejected the allegations, linking them to Arab citizens' high voter turnout and the end of Netanyahu's rule. The Shin Bet cited intelligence of large foreign money flows into Israel, potentially involving thousands of people.
