Welsh fans sing 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' as Bonnie Tyler's coffin returns home
Hundreds of fans lined the streets of a Welsh seaside village on Saturday to bid farewell to late singer Bonnie Tyler as her coffin was brought home. The Grammy-nominated star, known for "Total Eclipse of the Heart," died last month in Portugal at age 75. Tyler was hospitalized in May in Faro for emergency intestinal surgery. Her hearse, draped in a Welsh flag, passed through Mumbles near Swansea as locals sang her biggest hit. Dozens left floral tributes at her former home. Born Gaynor Hopkins, a coal miner's daughter, Tyler earned three Grammy nods and represented Britain at Eurovision in 2013. She was honored as an MBE in 2022. A celebration of her life takes place Monday in Swansea.
