Thousands of fans line Welsh streets for Bonnie Tyler's funeral procession

Thousands of fans lined the streets of Mumbles, Wales, on Saturday to honor British singer Bonnie Tyler, who died in July at age 75, as her coffin passed through her hometown ahead of Monday's funeral. Fans sang her hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and threw flowers on the hearse as the coffin, draped in the Welsh flag, appeared. Tyler died July 8 in Portugal, where she had a home, after being hospitalized in May for intestinal surgery and placed in an induced coma. Born Gaynor Hopkins in 1951 near Swansea, Tyler was discovered in a local nightclub in 1975 and kept her Welsh accent throughout her career. Her 1983 rock ballad reached 1.2 billion Spotify streams, and she also recorded "It's a Heartache" and "Holding Out for a Hero."
