Thousands gather in Wales to honor Bonnie Tyler at funeral procession

Thousands of fans lined the streets of Mumbles, Wales, on Saturday to applaud the funeral procession of singer Bonnie Tyler, who died in July at age 75. Her funeral is scheduled for Monday at Swansea Cathedral. The coffin, draped in the Welsh flag, passed through the crowd as people sang "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and threw flowers. Tyler died on July 8 in Portugal, where she had undergone emergency intestinal surgery in May. Born in Skewen in 1951, Tyler rose to fame in the 1980s with her hit ballad, which has reached 1.2 billion Spotify streams. She had recently released a single and was preparing for a European tour.
