Hundreds of fans lined the streets of Mumbles, Swansea, on August 15 to pay tribute as Bonnie Tyler's coffin was driven through her former hometown following her death in July at age 75. The procession saw the coffin draped in the Welsh flag, accompanied by a framed photo, with crowds applauding and singing "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" while throwing flowers. Tyler, born Gaynor Hopkins, died months after emergency intestinal surgery placed her in an induced coma. Tyler achieved international fame in the 1980s with hits like "Holding Out For A Hero" and represented the UK at Eurovision in 2013. A private celebration of her life will be held at Swansea Minster on August 17.
