Stephen Miller, architect of Trump's border wall, named chief of staff
Stephen Miller, a 41-year-old lawyer known as the architect of Donald Trump's most controversial immigration policies, has been appointed as the new White House chief of staff. He previously served as a senior adviser during Trump's first term. Miller was the creator of hardline measures including the unfinished US-Mexico border wall, a travel ban on citizens from several Muslim-majority countries, and a family separation policy that drew international criticism. Hundreds of children separated from their parents have not yet been reunited. Born in California in 1985, Miller showed conservative leanings from adolescence and worked for Republican lawmakers after graduating from Duke University. He recently spent two years detailing legal plans for mass deportation operations promised during Trump's campaign.
