Pakistani and Iranian officials met in Tehran as Islamabad seeks to revive stalled U.S.-Iran talks aimed at ending a six-month war, concluding with what Pakistan called significant progress. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Army Chief Syed Asim Munir met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who urged the U.S. to change its approach and comply with a June memorandum of understanding. The MOU collapsed last month over control of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has blockaded the strait since the war began Feb. 28, while the U.S. seeks to restore navigation freedom. Washington announced further financial sanctions on Iran on Monday.
