Iran tells US coercion and bullying will fail in Tehran meeting with Pakistan army chief

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir in Tehran that the United States must change its approach, warning that coercion and bullying would complicate diplomatic efforts. Pezeshkian urged Washington to adhere to its commitments under international law and a 14-point Memorandum of Understanding, while stressing Iran would withstand pressure through national solidarity. Munir's visit comes amid heightened regional tensions and fresh US sanctions targeting 60 individuals, entities, and vessels. Munir's trip follows a phone call with US President Donald Trump last week, and includes talks with Iranian security and parliamentary officials. Pakistan's earlier mediation efforts led to an interim peace agreement in June, but the Islamabad Memorandum subsequently faltered.
