Harry Kane wins MARCA 100 Award ahead of Lamine Yamal, boosting his Ballon d'Or hopes

ran.joyn.de (German) —

Harry Kane has won the MARCA 100 Award, beating Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé, ahead of Monday's Ballon d'Or ceremony in London where he is a top contender. The Bayern Munich striker earned 3,962 points versus Yamal's 3,937, with Mbappé third at 3,440. A 226-member international jury of journalists, former players, and coaches voted, with Kane succeeding Yamal as winner. Bayern teammate Michael Olise finished eighth. Kane scored 61 goals in 51 matches for Bayern last season, winning the domestic double. He could become the first English Ballon d'Or winner since Michael Owen in 2001. However, Ballon d'Or votes were cast in September, so the MARCA result has no direct influence.
