Gică Craioveanu Criticizes Lamine Yamal's Ballon d'Or Outfit

Former Romanian international and TV analyst Gică Craioveanu harshly criticized Barcelona player Lamine Yamal's outfit at the 2026 Ballon d'Or gala, saying even his rooster in Slatina doesn't have such an accessory. Yamal, who finished third in the voting, wore a Chanel suit with a large pink flower-shaped brooch, which Craioveanu said visually disturbed him and that he preferred a more decent, elegant appearance. The analyst contrasted Yamal's look with the attire of his girlfriend, model Ines Garcia. Other players also drew attention for their fashion choices, including Ousmane Dembele in a brown suit and Bayern Munich's Michael Olise and Luis Diaz in stylized outfits. Yamal won the Kopa Trophy for best young player for the third consecutive year, with Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe topping the Ballon d'Or rankings.
