Bayern Munich's Eberl skips Ballon d'Or gala due to illness; Kane leads delegation in London
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl will miss the Ballon d'Or gala in London due to illness, while Harry Kane leads the club's delegation as the favorite for the award. The German record champions traveled by private jet from Munich to London on Monday, with nominees Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, and Dayot Upamecano accompanying Kane. Bayern women's players Klara Bühl, Pernille Harder, and Momoko Tanikawa also attended, alongside 18-year-old talent Lennart Karl. The 70th Ballon d'Or ceremony marks the first time the event is held in London, Kane's hometown. Coach Vincent Kompany, nominated for coach of the year, was absent after collapsing on Friday, with Aaron Danks temporarily replacing him.
