Zelensky Visits Madrid to Discuss Air Defense and Defense Cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Madrid, Spain, on November 4 for an official visit, prioritizing talks on strengthening Ukraine's air defense and defense cooperation. Zelensky stated that key meetings and negotiations in Madrid will focus on protecting Ukrainian citizens, developing defense production, and preparing new support steps. He also mentioned planned contacts with the American side to coordinate security issues and peace efforts. The visit follows Zelensky's trip to Berlin on November 3, where he met German leaders. Separately, US envoy Steve Witkoff announced a Brussels meeting this week with French, German, British, EU, and NATO representatives to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.
